Red wing 8138 bri oil slick moc toe boot
Nothing says, “Red Wing”, like a moc toe boot with a white polyurethane outsole. It’s a style we started making in the 1950s for sportsmen but it worked equally well on farms and in factories due to that Traction Tred sole with its minimal tread that sheds mud and provides the underfoot comfort the work day required. The crescent-shaped stitching on the toe was inspired by the construction of the shoes, or “moccasins” originally worn by the North American Algonquin Indians. Our Classic Moc Toe boots have since become a legend.
In 1905, Mr Charles Beckman, a Minnesota shoe merchant, realised there was a necessity for strong and reliable footwear suitable for demanding work such as mining, logging and farming. He wanted a product strong enough to be worn every day and comfortable enough to support the work industry in some of the toughest and most challenging of environments. He would call the company "Red Wing Shoes".
Red wing shoes have travelled alongside America's vast history. Used by families and workers through America's depression era and contracted through two World Wars providing their services to the US Forces.
