6876 paris t-shirt in white
2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the May 1968 uprising in Paris that comprised of several weeks of confrontations, demonstrations, occupations, protests, strikes, riots, revolt. Founded in 1957, it was in this year that the Situationist International’s political and counter-cultural activity reached its peak of influence. The events of May 1968 leaves a legacy of collection action; a social revolution that belonged to the people. A long-term enthusiasm for the Situationists matched by a bias towards punk’s ideology became the references for the 6876 name; both being movements rooted in Marxism, with their practices pivoted around socio-political agendas and anti-capitalist themes, and both famed for their radical aesthetic.
Founded by Dundee fashion designer Kenneth Mackenzie, iconic label Six Eight Seven Six has embarked on a new project '6876 Modern Studies', a departure from previous collections featuring more overt branding however all in keeping with the traditional brand ethos.
